so im getting the peavey ultra 112, 60 watts all tube 3 channels and so on, i think the only thing im gonna miss is that my crate has 212 and can push more air, so would it be ok to buy just a 112 cab and put it to my amp? would there be any loss of sound, will it sound different, i really dont know since A) i have never owned a tube B) all the technical stuff i dont know, can someone help tell what this would do or if its worth it, or if its possible to have my amp speaker working while having a 112 cab working,
P.S i cant have a 412 or 212 cab since there is no way that it will fit in my dorm room

do they even make 1X12 cabs? i thought all cabs had at least 2 speakers.

I think there is a speaker out socket on the back with adjustable ohm setting switch so just about any 1 x 12 cab will work fine.It should work with the tandem with the exhisting speaker,probably not stereo though.

Yes, every half-decent brand of amps has 1x12 cabs and they should work (take care of ohm/wattage!). I doubt, however, that you'll be able to get the volumes needed to properly drive two 12"amps. Make sure you test it before you buy anything, might very well not be worth the money!
yes but i have seen this amp drive a 412 cab, and be pretty damn loud at that. so there is a chance that my volume will be cut in half?
