I just bought an Egnater Renegade 2x12, and I have a Boss RC-20XL loop pedal. My amp can get good overdrive tones without the pedal, or if I only record one loop, but if I try to overdub tracks on distortion, it comes out muddy and unclear, yet I can record and layer as many tracks on clean as I want and it still sounds fine. I can't tell If its the amp or pedal that is causing the problem and I don't know what to do, if anybody knows what's going on please let me know.

Are you running the looper in the effects loop or before the amp. It'll probably work best in the effects loop.

Playing guitar and never playing for others is like studying medicine and never working in a clinic.
