I recently aquired an Alesis Midiverb 2 processor, but it seems to be broken: the fact that it won't make a noise is the giveaway really.
The problem seems to be that the Overload and signal LEDs are always lit even if there is no signal or overload.
Does anyone know a way that I might be able to fix this? I know the thing is 17 years old, but it was free and I'd like to play with it.

Have a tech look at it, it may be nothing, it may be dead, but you'll never know until you have someone competent to look at it.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
