And if you want good fuzz check out the Euthymia Electronics Crucible Fuzz. You can buy them from http://www.tonefactor.com . The clips of the Crucible Fuzz at Tone Factor were made with the Crucible Fuzz I have.

I agree, the metal master is a very good pedal. It has an excellant sound with a wide range of distortions. A few flaws I have found but have solved:

The volume dial on your guitar acts as gain. when set to 1-2 it is a very light distortion, 9-10 is total gain (very muddy sound).

When the battery starts to die, the pedal begins making rotary sounds and will not respond when you step on it. An easy solution to this is to purchase an AC adapter for the pedal. Musicians Friend recommends the DOD PS200R power supply, but any universal adapter that allows 9V and negative polarity will work.

Defintely not for those who are seeking a bluesy sound, but will deliver the crunch needed for metal.
