I was just wondering what the difference between Fuzz and distortion was, I hear that Hendrix used fuzz alot so i'm curious about the difference in sound (if there is any).

Well distortion usually refers to slightly hard clipping typically from a pre-amp. Fuzz uses more hard clipping, giving it a 'fuzzy' sound as you produce something closer to a squarewave.

Isn't fuzz a type of distortion? But anyway, yeah, Hendrix did use his Fuzz face pedal a lot. A more recent example would be Muse, Bellamy is, or was, heavily using fuzz distortions. The easiest way to get a solid idea of what it sounds like is by going to you local store and trying a fuzz pedal. :)
