I've owned a HRD for 6 years now and been happy with it. Earlier this week I got a helluva deal on a 2x12 Bandmaster VM cab with Vintage 30s. The cab was the right impedance (8ohm) to go with the HRD.

I plugged it into the extension speaker jack, running it with the built in speaker and the volume with the extension cab is not even close to that of the amp running strictly it's built in 12".

Through research and talking with a tech before buying, I was under the impression there would an apparent volume increase, this is certainly not the case. Am I missing something here?
