Can someone tell me what order is the best order to turn off a PA System. I have a non-powered board, an amplifier, a kosmos pro, a EQ, and Power Conditioner?

Thanks for the help.

I may be mistaken about this, but I think you're always supposed to turn the "power" part of things off first. In this case that would be the amplifier. But I'll defer to the folks who have a lot more experience in these matters than I do.

Peace

David is right.

The Amp should be last ON and first OFF. This is to prevent those nasty power on/off thumps and pops that other equipment in the signal chain make from damaging speakers.

In your case i would turn ON the power conditioner first (to keep your gear protected) then work towards the amplifier (following the signal chain) This way, any power (signal) spikes when turning gear on will not fry equipment further along the chain.

When powering OFF, follow the same route in reverse.

Whatever you do, make sure that everything is ZEROED first.
