Hi all,

What I'm looking for is a gizmo that allowws me to shift my guitar an octave down or up. especially down soc id love to be able to record a bassline to go with the rythm and lead parts of songs. Where (uk) could i find somehting to do this. also, what is it cxalled? simply an octave pedal? I believe that the whammy can also do this but not sure (didnt jack white do that on seven nation army or something???) basically, how can i do this in a relatively cheap way?
Many thanks,

Rob

A whammy will do this (shift it up or down a octave)

An octavia with all an octave + harmonics to the notes you play. Listen to Hendrix's purple haze solo for this effect.

I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

I have rack mounted pitch shifter and harmonizer. They can be programed to create whatever I can think. They are both post. Meaning I get my tone from the tube amps first then add effects.
