I have a Squier 4 channel mixer that has an internal 80watt power amp. The owner's manual says it has an unbalanced line level output that is designed to feed the Squire's main bus signal to an external power amplifier or main house mixer.

Does that mean I can use the Squier as a mixer and use my Carvin 1500watt power amp and main speakers with it?

If so do you think it would be able to also utilize it's 80watt power amp to run two additional speakers?

Mixer-------- Speaker 1 and 2
-----Carvin amp ----- Speaker 3 and 4

I do that very thing now. I am using my Behringer powered mixer to power our 2 main speakers. I go out from the line-out on the Behringer to a Mackie powered mixer we use to power 4 monitors.

Use the Squier to power a couple of monitors. 80 Watts isn't very much, but monitors should be just loud enough to hear. Send only vocals through the monitors, drums and bass drain power big time. Don't clip the Squier, it will damage the monitors.

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
