Hi there,

I need to buy a new power supply for a DB technologies in-ear monitoring transmitter as my last one has died. The one that died was 12V ac supplying 250ma. To buy online, I can find lots of 12V ac adapters supplying 500ma, but none at 250ma.

Do I need to the current to match exactly or would it be alright to use a 500ma power supply?

Thanks!

Cy.

You should be fine.

The current rating on power supplies is the maximum that can be drawn from it safely.
Power supplies don't so much push current into a device, as allow current to be pulled from them.

The important thing here is that the voltage is correct, and that the power supply can deliver at least as much current as you transmitter requires.
