I recently bought this amp but am still searching for the right sound...i am playing in a hardcore punk band and am using a Boss mega Distortion pedal with it...has anyone used this amp?...or even better still with that pedal?...i play an American Deluxe Stratocaster...would love to hear some thoughts on the amp and/or pedal either way...cheers - sito

Traynor amps are excellent amps. I think they are all Class A. Which means the louder you crank it the more saturation and breakup / distortion you will get. I am trying out the YCV20WR and YCV40WR but that 80 looks like a wattage beast. So you might want to buy an atteunator to cut the sheer volume down so you can crank that warm tube distortion out of it.

GN's resident learning sponge, show me a little and I will soak it up.
