looking at getting a new amp. I don't want to spend a bunch on it (would like to spend 500-800) but the one's i've really been thinking about were the blackstar venue ht100 or a b-52 ATX-100. any thoughts on what would be a better buy or if there is something else i should think about? would rather get a better value as i don't really want to spend a lot. I play hard rock-metal mostly.

Is this 500-800 Pounds, Dollars or Yen?

AHHHH stay away from the B52! Have you looked at the Vox AC15?? Full tube amp and beautiful flexible tone. Brand new - about $550.

For hard rock metal perhaps the Peavey 6505+ combo would do. 60w, 5 (!) pre amp tubes, gain beyond belief...closed back cab, clean, crunch, lead channels, etc.
