He also has a few Phillips amps
(btw it's just for home playing or with friends)
Thanks for the advice
Wow, those are pretty cool looking amps.
If it's just for home playing, you will be better off with the 15 watt model. You will be able to crank it up a bit and get tube saturation. But even 15 watts is extremely loud. It is most likely the smallest and easiest amp to move around as well. You will play an amp that is portable more often and in different situations simply because it is easy to carry around.
But really, if it was me, I would listen to each amp carefully and pick the one with the best tone. That is what is important.
Yeah, go for the tone. 8)

Thanks Wes
let you know after the weekend
what I've bought and how it sounds
(If they're not to expensive that is)

Your asking about plugging your guitar into one of them?
The first thing came to mind. The world of Guitar tone has been finding new soundscapes and pushing the envelope, all for that basic sound of saturated power tubes and hard driven speakers at low volume levels.
G.215- Pre amp->ECC83,ECC83, Power amp->EL84-EL84, Rectifier-EZ81
G.225A- Pre amp->12SL7-12SL7, 1st AF amplifier->6J5, Power amp->6L6-6L6, Rectifier->5X4
G.227A Pre amp->ECC83-ECC83-ECC81, Power amp->EL34-EL34
.3227A Pre amp->12AX7-12AX7-12AT7, Power amp->6CA7-6CA7
ECC83- This one is most sought after preamp tubes by amp and audiophile lovers.
EL84 - Higher output and a punchier overall performance smooth mid and top end.
6L6 - Favorite overall classic tone, clean to high gain use
EL34 - Legendary focused low end, crushing mid range crunch and crystal-like highs.
6CA7 - Same as EL34, Euro-voiced mid range edge and sparkling highs.
The better you sound, the better you play.

"forrok_star" your correct,
I went to see them yesterday and they're indeed non-guitar amps.
It is possible to turn them into good guitar amps BUT with a load of
modifications (plugs, tone-regulators, etc...).
Thanks for the advices
The only thing I see that you would need to make adapter/plugs to plug a preamp into them. Other than that you wouldn't need to do anything else, because you would be using it as a power amp. The preamp would take care of the tone stack. Thats what I did when I plugged into a couple of stereo power amps I have.
On the Quest for Tone this last week I've been using a tube power amps as preamps running full out into a dummy loads with a line out, then into equalizers, into effects, into equalizers, into the tube power amps, then off to the speakers. It looks simple when written down, when really it takes up 16 spaces in a rack. In the racks I'm using three tube power amps, Three Equalizers, two tube effects, and four dummy loads. Thats not including the tone stacks in the effect processors which are really tube preamps. Boy's an their toy's.
All this power and sound is at low volume. Being loud takes all the fun out it, besides I can always get loud. If I wanted volume I can turn the last power amp in the chain up. It's that feeling and touch sensitivity you get for running tube amps full out.
