Hey...I'm Josh! New to the forums...new to guitar too, I guess, compared to some of the vets on here! ::tips hat::

I just typed up my musical life story on the "What Got You Playing..." thread, so I'll not do it again.

I love all sorts of music (mostly bands that I daresay few of you have ever heard of)...some of my favorite bands/soloists include:

mewithoutYou
The Listening
Five Iron Frenzy
Flatfoot 56
Johnny Cash
Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer
Journey
Styx
The Beach Boys
Aaron Sprinkle
Headnoise
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Creedence Clearwater Revival
The Clancy Brothers
Elton John
Flogging Molly
Joy Electric
Mumsdollar

and I'll stop there, with the note that I have *some* sort of music playing probably 14 hours a day.

My main playing interests, if I had to pick, would probably be Ska, Punk, and Blues.

And now, for the non-musical stuff...

I'm sixteen, a Christian, a resident of Chicagoland, a coffee freak, a Jones Soda addict, and an aspiring audio engineer (oops, guess that's musical after all).

And my gear:

Fender 50's Classic (aka MIM Reissue) Daphne Blue Strat
Washburn acoustic (unknown model...love it to death)
Fender electric-acoustic mandolin
Fender Prosonic 2x10" combo <3
Fender Pro 185 2x12" combo
Fender Frontman 25R 1x8"? combo
Crate G-something 4x12" cab
Danelectro Daddy-O pedal that I haven't touched since I bought my Prosonic <3
Jackson guitar, unknown model, that I'm looking to sell and will probably advertise on here

and last but not least, my Boss BR-1600 digital recorder that I'm absolutely in love with.

Hah, yeah...lots of people have told me that, in different words. Most of it was actually really cheap, though...the Pro 185 and the Crate cab, specifically, were each around $200. And the acoustic's technically my mums, but she hasn't touched it since before I started playing...gotta love hand-me-down stuff.

sounds like you need a couple more hands.... Welcome.

I'll only be down there (in the basement practicing) for a couple of minutes or so...
