I'm in the seventh grade and I just started taking lessons about two months ago and I borrowed my dads old electric stratocastor(my dad has also been on this site for about 3 years). Well today after recieving an Epiphone Les Paul Standard for Christmas which I absolutly love after having for about 5 hours. My dad told my to go on this website and start my own acount maybe some people could give me some pointers. MERRY CHRISTMAS

i know its only rock and roll but i like it

Welcome to GN, (billybenbob)junior.

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask - no-one will flame you (and get away with it).

I'm sure that your dad has given you some pointers and we have a lot of good lessons (and easy songs) for beginners. Just about anything by David Hodge will help you and, if you don't understand something, there are plenty of people willing to help you out.

Congratulations on the new guitar and look forward to seeing you around the forum

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
