Hey all,

I'm Steve Ford. I'm a Retired Navy Hospital Corpsman.

At 40 years old my wife bought me a beautiful Jay Turser 200D. I've had 5 lessons so far.

It's going pretty well as I can already read music.

I played Saxophone in Junior High and High School but pretty much gave it up after joining the Navy.

Looking forward to hearing from you all about hints/tips/tricks that will help me quit making such dreadful sounds with this poor guitar.

Welcome to GN! I haven't been here very long myself, but it is an enjoyable place.

Welcome to GN.

You're not the only sax/guitar person here.
There are a couple whose story sounds like yours, as well as Notes Norton, who is a working pro sax player who doubles on guitar.
