Hello all,

My name is Barry (Baza) and i am from Glasgow, Scotland. I'm 29 and got into the gitar about three months ago after playing a computer game of all things called guitar hero. I have never been interseted in playing until that game but both my dad and brother play so having inspiration i went out and bought a Les Paul black beauty 3 custom and a Les Paul 56 Goldtop. I have managed to play 3 really easy songs so far - Live forever by Oasis, knockin on Heavens door by Bob Dylan and Wish you were here by Pink Floyd.

I discovered the site by accident while surfing for a definitive answer on understanding scales and help on reading musical notation etc. and couldn't believe my luck when i stumbled upon this site. I know these songs backwards, forwards and inside out but i have no idea how the notes came together and how they are constructed in other words i realised i can mimick these songs and no more. So here i am ready to get right into the fight and start learning and by god i will stick at this.

Oh and hello again

The Hass

Welcome! I think you'll find playing it for real a bit more difficult, but much more fun than guitar hero. And I felt the same way when I stumbled upon this site for the first time, it really is a great site especially when you're first starting out.
