Hio everyone as you can see Im a newbie. I learned guitar about a year ago this summer. I feel like I have not advanced at all though. When I first started I was so excited to just go go go I did not practice my changes correctly and now I am paying for it because I should be much faster. Plus I have a tendency to skip ahead or get discouraged easily so if something is not going easily for me I just skip ahead to the next thing and learn NOTHING.Any suggestions ? :)

Welcome to Guitar Noise.

I might pass on a suggestion of taking a step back and realizing all the enjoyment this instrument can give you. Slow down your forward momentum and enjoy the moment more. Take to time to pick out and perfect parts you "glaze" over.

Been there done that.

You still have to eventually go back and figure out those parts anyway. Might as well get it in order.
