hello good folks

i'm from Vancouver BC and i just moved to London ON. i've been playing for 23 years. i've been online for a few days

i play many styles from punk, blues, classic rock...whatever grabs me...i even learned a bach song...though i use a pick (never did get on to fingerstyle). i called myself improvgtrplyr because that somes up my style well. i'm play leads very well, but chords i'm not so good at. i can play chords i just can't remember the progressions(unless it easy). it's all good with leads, but i rarely play the same solo twice.

i havn't been in a band for three years but i play at the local open jam every weeked. i don't know half the songs they play so i improv.

i play cheap guitars not worth mentioning $500 or less, because i like to use thick strings and play hard...i don't want to worry about scratching the finish or other damage.

i found this site the yesterday and have got a lot out of it so far BIG THANKS TO ALL HERE

p.s. i'm new to forums so can anyone tell me how to make photos small to fit the avatar?

well, first off, welcome to guitar noise forums, and thats great we have already been a big help.

On avitar resizing, Use a photo editor. Anything like photoshop or paintshop or the like have a resize tool somewhere. Look through the menus. Easier though, is open the photo's folder in windows explorer, and right click. Their should be a resize pictures option.

Belated welcome, I'm from London as well. That bar looks familiar in a generic pub with white stucco and rough cut plywood stained dark brown kinda way. Last Drop? Scott's Corner?
