I grew up listening to classic rock /rock (Stones, Zeppelin, Van Halen-Lee Roth, The Who, U2). I still enjoy those bands but also listen to a lot of new bands/artists. My iPod looks like it has an identity crisis. Cold Play, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Sarha Mclachlan, Eminiem, Seal, CSN/CSNY, Maroon 5, Sinead Oconnor in addition to the bands I grew up with.
Four weeks in I can play and sing one song fairly well!! Mad World, Gary Jules cover (Em, G, D, A). That's where the good news ends. I'm still having trouble with the C chord progression. Any chord going to C is a challenge. I hope it clicks in the next few weeks.
I read somewhere that breakthroughs come in spoonfulls and not in 5 gallon buckets. I must have some really small spoons.
