Well, I've been poking around the forums and reading some of the beginner's articles so I figured it's about time to say hello and introduce myself.
Background:
I've always loved music. I played saxophone for several years growing up and have always had a love for music. I had always wanted to learn to play guitar, so after my sister–Manager for Peter Frampton–gave me a copy of Emedia guitar method 1 (endorsed by PF) I decided now was the time. So I bought a Yamaha 403GS acoustic guitar based on several user reviews and that I didn't want to spend much more in case I gave up.
So here I am at 34, married, practicing every night after our son goes to bed and I'm LOVIN IT!
Only been at it for 1 month but its been a great stress reliever.
I appreciate the wealth of info on the site and have been reading the beginner's articles, as well as refreshing myself on music theory.
