I've recently decided I wanted to start learning to play guitar. I've always loved music but never made the leap to actually making my own until now. I have a fender telecaster which I really like and a marshall amp. I'm mainly learning from a book right now and trying to get my hands limber enough to do what they are supposed to do. I'd like to get good enough to be in a band, or at least perform some original songs in public someday.

Thanks for the compliments on my gear. I didn't want to break the bank but I've been wanting to get a guitar for a LONG time now, but there was always just other expenses that prevented me from ever doing it. Now that I finally got it I'm so stoked. These forums have been a great help for finding sites and lessons to learn from. I don't post much but there's a lot of good info here and I appreciate the knowledge of the people here. Things like this really make me glad there's stuff like the internet. It really speeds up the learning process.
