I am going to be ordering a new guitar soon. I have done a lot of research and had my choices narrowed down to a Yamaha beginners package (the Pacifica 012 I think) and the Ibanez package (grg i think). They both seemed to get good reviews but I think I'm going with the Yamaha as it seems it may be more versatile as far as sound goes. I have almost no experience playing guitar other then when I was in high school I had a cheap acoustic that I fiddled around with. That was over 30 years ago. When I order the package I'm going to order a better cable and some decent strings.
