Howdy all! 41 y/o from Western Mass. I gave guitar a shot back in high school, but got frustrated quickly and gave it up. I decided a couple months ago that was NOT going to spend the rest of my life just wishing I could play. Ive been browsing through the info on GN since then, and a few days ago I bought a Squier Affinity Strat with amp and such.
Im not sure how good I'll ever get and I doubt I will ever play for anyone except unfortunate friends/loved ones  Learning guitar is, at least for now, just something Im doing to please myself. I guess my "goal" would be to someday be able to play some of the old blues and blues/rock standards. Right now, just getting my hands to do what I want when I try to play chords . . .
