Hey GN Members:

I'm Sandy and I've been checking your site for a couple of weeks now since I got my first acoustic (Washburn) weeks ago and decided I'd like to become "official."
So, "HI, everyone. You all seem quite interesting and I know I'll learn a lot."
I'm looking forward to posting in the Other Side forum. However, I noticed that guys post to the forum as well. That's cool.

Welcome to the GN Forums. You're welcome in ALL the forums.

Congrats on your Washburn. I hope you pick up some new things here that enhance your playing.

Welcome to GN, Sandy! Plenty of lessons and easy songs to give that Washburn a work out or two!

Welcome to GuitarNoise, Sandy! We look forward to seeing you around the forums! :D

And, yes, men also post to "The Other Side" and I think it's a really good thing! Everyone is very supportive of new players, male and female! This is a great place to hang out and learn!

Welcome to GN, Sandy (dandy).

I love your signature. We have many cat lovers here on the forums and I am glad that you are yet another one.

So the cat finally learned to pick the guitar...

MEOW!
KITTIES RULE!!!
Rahul, it wasn't easy getting kitty to sit long enough to use the pick.
I'm really glad there's no kitty restriction at GN. Life without fuzzy creatures would be too empty.
By the way, I'm having trouble with the strings on my Washburn. Any good sites showing how to restring a stratocaster? Thanks.

Sandy

Welcome to GN, Sandy.

I don't venture into The Other Side very often. It's quite scary in there.  j/k

Looking forward to seeing you round the forums.

8)

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.

Nah, Nuno, didn't get a chance to restring the Strat yet. Got one of those yucky summer colds & didn't get out to Sam Ash for new strings.
But, did have lots of time though to watch those links you & Dalron set me up with. They were great. I liked Justin from JustinGuitar.com/YouTube best. However, Bob, from Musician's Friend, was really thorough. I'd say between both Justin & Bob, they covered all the bases.
Now I just need the new strings! My schedule won't allow me to get around to Sam Ash until Wed/Thu, so in the meantime, I'll watch Bob & Justin. I'll let you know how it works out. Or, I'll shout out for more H-E-L-P!!! :?

Nuno & Dalron:
again for all your help!

I couldn't resist - I had to check out the "Cat with the Strat" song! I loved it - always been a Seuss fan.
Thanks for attaching the link. It's definitely a keeper!
Just for YOU!
