Wish I would have picked up guitar again back in 2002. I didn't do that until December 2004. I would have discovered GN earlier.

The question still remains, if not asked, but how could there be over 10,000 members and the most visitors at once is only 83!?! Well, I guess I already know some answers to that, but still.

I actually asked about that a couple of months ago. Apparently a lot of them recieve the news letter, but don't post on the boards.

11,000 +. Wow. I thought we had around 4,000. I remember a post saying 'Congrats on 4000"...Must have been back when I first joined, around 2 years ago maybe?

Actually, that's normal. Most people drop in and quickly drop out. Others watch from the sidelines. But most internet forums have of about 1% of their membership that form the core community. Everyone else is just passing through, visitors are welcome!

I am an example of just being in the background.
Don't know why.

I can imagine that the servers might be quite happe to not have about 11.500 people posting at once

Don't forget that GN is more than the forums - there''s a whole site full of lessons, etc. There are a lot of people, who come for the lessons, but never enter the forums.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Wow, I'd been scarce around here as of late but notice GN just keeps on growing.

We have surpassed 12,000 registered members.

Almost 3 months ago we had just gone over 11,000.

We're going to need a bigger garage for all the new vehicles.

WELCOME EVERYONE!!!!!! :D

And thank you for all the contributions that make this a great place to learn!!!

This is kind of neat. I remember years back, well spring of 2003, on the old server, when I thought that this site was big. Now it's pretty amazing!
