San Dimas Canyon Nature Center, June 10-11, 2006

Once again, thanks to Roddy Gregory and friends and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.

We played two sets on Sunday, 15 minutes each, and I have to say, it was a lot of fun! Good sound, (good food!) good monitors; didn't have to lug my bass amp onstage - which wouldn't have been a problem because it's one of those tiny 25lb Fender Bassman 100s - and got to play through a Carvin bass rig. I only tweaked the volume because I didn't want to mess up the other players' settings, but the sound I got was so good I had to sorta consciously ignore it so I wouldn't forget what I was playing! If I started listening to much to it, I'd space out and forget where I was.

The weather was nice and cool this year and the whole thing was quite a pleasant experience, before, during and after.
