Been away awhile

Hey everyone. It's been awhile since I last logged on. Had a lot of change going on, music and otherwise.

Band-wise, Undercover is no more. One of our guitarists wanted to take a short break while he got married and moved into a new house. A one month break turned into several months and there were some issues with him already, so the other guitarist and I decided to move on and find a new drummer (drummer and absentee guitarist are friends and it was time for a change in the drum department too) and guitarist. We've been posting and answering craigslists posts for the past few months and not finding anything. I've been going to blues jams and jamming with some friends to scratch the musical itch. Worked a lot on my singing.

Last week, we had arranged to audition 2 drummers and 2 guitarists. 1 set have played together before and have a similar friendship and ideas as guitarist and me. They seem to be a great match for us and had a good audition. Guitarist seemed to be a little shy and had some equipment issues. We are getting together again this week to see how it goes. We are focusing the new set list on 80's and 90's pop rock. We played a lot of the 80's stuff before, but also had a lot of 60's and 70's stuff. Honestly, for me that stuff is getting old and the bar crowds are getting younger. It's fun rebuilding a set list and finding some different stuff to play. Neither the drummer or new guitarist sing, so I will be handling about 50% of the vocals, which will be new to me. Previously, I was doing about 20% of the singing.
