Interesting! I wonder if Fender will bring the Ovation brand back into the mainstream or move towards canning it?

Time will tell ...

Hopefully Genz Benz will get better distribution; they make some great bass amps but you don't see them in too many shops. They also have great customer service; I hope that doesn't go away.

Hamer is part of this, isn't it? I wonder if they will get better distribution or remain a boutique line of electrics. They are SWEET.

I hope this is a good thing for Ovation. I know I'm the minority, but I've always liked them. (have one myself)

Keep in mind they discontinued the DeArmond line after acquiring Guild. :(

I hope they don't delete the Ovation line. I love the 1778 Elite T.

I would doubt it. Ovation still sells pretty well. I'd worry more about the Adamas line.

yeah, high end, probably low profit. Mass produced, low cost, low labor product is much more in-line with what most big guitar companies do these days.

yes, rather nice looking guitbox, kudos. Hey, if Fender does discontinue the Adamas line, then that will only drive up the re-sale value of yours. If you ever decided to sell it.
