Sweet! I saw Richard Wright listed and was hopeful that they'd do Wearing The Inside Out (Rick does the vocals on that one). Alas, no. However, I bet it will be great. Their music blends into philharmonic style very, very well. This one is a must have for fans of that mix. http://www.amazon.com/Us-Them-Symphonic-Pink-Floyd/dp/B0000040UZ No vocals obviously.
Come on 9/15!

Done and done. I will have this on the day it comes out. I've seen Floyd back in the day, Gilmour, and went to go see Waters at the Garden (2yrs?) ago. Both have, by far, had the biggest influence on me than any other artsists.
Teamwork- A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.
Will also be getting as soon as it comes out, jsut wish i was old enough to have seen floyd back then

It was truly an event. The Pulse DVD from the last tour is a must have. You can see some of it on You Yube. The finally in person was the single best thing I've ever seen live. This doesn't do it justice as it's a recording, but you can get the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2aOccbfAqE
and right before it was this.

Roy, I know exactly what you mean.
Had 3rd row on the floor for that concert. Took a younger friend (he was 19, at the time) of mine who had never seen them. The kid cried after the concert. Said he never knew a live show could do that to a person. He told me that when they played "One of these days" he nearly soiled himself because it literally scared the cr@p out of him. No kidding.
Take me to a concert today that can do THAT and I'll be forever loyal to that band.
(Edit: Thinking back...I guess it was the line from the song...."One of these days, I'm gonna chop you into little pieces"...that got to him. That, plus gigantic boars with laser beams coming out of their eyes floating on either side of the stage and Gilmour whalling away on the slide. )

Here's a great Dave Gilmour site.
Explains a lot of his gear he's used over the years.
Talks about Blackie and Whitey too...(guitars folks)

Thanks for the link Dag!
Blueline, yeah, I can see where that might scare someone. Could be Gilmour's slide work. It's haunting. That, and the percussion kind of keeps escalating. It's got such a great groove. Add the pigs like you said, and you've got one hell of a tune.
