Yes, the forums are moderated. I'm not quite sure what you'd like to imply here, but I think the comment is unfair.

As suggested above, you should check the Profile of a member you are interested in. That will tell you when they last posted, and allow you to PM or possibly email them.

And yes, sometimes life intervenes.

Rahul told me that he has quit GN and closed his account. He was upset that a thread he started about a guitar got deleted and didn't want to be here anymore. I didn't see the thread so I don't know what all took place.

I haven't talked to Rahul in a while, cuz my yahoo program was acting up. But i think the mods delete a lot of his posts.

I wouldn't say a lot of posts. A a matter of fact we only deleted the ones that were off topic, offensive to a particular gender, race, religious belief or just plain cruel or insensitive. In other words we apply the same rules to Rahul as we do to anyone else.

Rahul's account isn't closed. No mod told him to go away either.

Twisty had a lot of personal stuff going on. I chat with him occasionally although it has been a while.

I think Chris also liked the Coffee House so much that he wanted to find a forum a bit more widely focused.
