Back in June my wife and I had the opportunity to tape the
Beatles Fest concert for our local cable access station PCTV.
Well the post production is done and it is viewable as a

Some of our local acts doing covers of Beatles song and all did a
great job.
The first act "Wrong Inspiration" is particularly astounding group
of young men. These guys are some of the best 13 year old musicians
I have ever heard.
Enjoy
John
Only seen the first band so far - it's late, 2.30am here - I'll catch the rest tomorrow. Great to see a bunch of young kids playing Beatles songs, playing them well, and enjoying themselves into the bargain! Nice camerawork, John/Karen.
:D :D :D

Kids are sleeping so I'll need to loook at this another time but I can't wait to watch it. Sounds like it should be great!

I know a little bit about a lot of things, but not a lot about anything...
Looking for people to jam with in Sydney Oz.......
Very Strange the link was working fine on Thursday.
My guess is they are experiencing server difficulties
on their end. Nobody will be there over the weekend
so it most likely won't get fixed until Monday.
Sorry about that
John
Link's working fine this (Saturday) afternoon - I'm just watching and listening to a very interesting version of "She's Leaving Home." Well worth checking out, IMO.

If you have a local Cable Access channel in your area call them or on stop in and volunteer
For a small annual fee ($15.00 in our area) you can become a member and have access
to equipment and studio time for producing your own shows.
And you are right it is fun!
John
Ksac,

Yes i watch that channel allot-i tried to get in the free classes but they were booked-gonna try again soon-very cool idea.
That was very cool! The kids were great :D I watched the whole show and enjoyed it very much. The last band was truly inspiring. The best version of 'I am the Walrus" since the 'Spooky Tooth' version 8)
Glad you enjoyed it Dog.
I've been follow John Zarvis (the guitarist on IATW) since I was 17
when he played in a band that did a dead on of Zappa's Call Any Vegetable.
When I was dating my wife he was co-leader of one of the areas top
cover bands.

Wow, I'd forgotten all about Spooky Tooth! Sure I've got some of their songs on an old cassette somewhere - I'll have to dig it out. Did you know that Luther Grosvenor - guitarist with ST - later changed his name to Ariel Bender and joined Mott The Hoople when Mick Ralphs left to join up with Paul Rodgers, Simom Kirke and Boz Burrell in Bad Company? Ralphs had already recorded the next Mott single, Roll Away The Stone - but when the album "The Hoople" was released, Ralphs' guitar solo was erased and Bender/Grosvenor's solo appeared instead! Just another bit of useless 70's trivia there for you....
Agree with "The Walrus" though, great version. Very enjoyable concert, John - thanks to you and Mrs Celt for recording it!

I think 'walrus' was on the 'You Broke my Heart....So I busted Your Jaw' LP
