You've got a new family who'll get you through this - hang on to the new, lose the past. I know that's harsh, but try and remember the good times - but don't let those OLD good times infringe on your new life.
Everyone gets a second chance - you've got yours, by the sound of things - don't blow it by thinking about what could have been....
The past is like a foreign country - they do things differently there!

Sorry Vic, I have to hang on to the bad past too. It keeps the lose of that relationship in check so it will not interfere with the new. I do understand what you are saying.
I guess it was the immediate shock value. I knew it would happen sooner or later. She was very self destructive.
Sorry to here of this. I've had friends die early from drug and alcohol abuse also. It never makes much sense. I suppose all we can do is live life the best we can and help others when the opportunity arises. I will keep you in my thoughts.
