Thinking of your both, and lots of positive thoughts going to you both x
At last, a bit of good news!
Marilyn was taken off sedation today - on every previous occasion they've tried, she's become distressed and had to be re-sedated. Today, however, she's managed to open her eyes and squueze my hand. She recognised my voice, and her daughter's voice, and all the neurological examinations were good. So here's hoping she's turned the corner!

Very good news. I hope it's a swift recovery from here.

Saturday night update....
Marilyn's still very drowsy, probably due to the fact she's been unconscious for a week. But....following on from yesterday's update, she's a little more aware today....recognising people, squeezing hands, and she's been breathing (carefully monitored, of course!) without the aid of the ventilator, or respirator, or whatever you call it. Seems that there are several underlying problems....a few of them are sorted out already, others may take a little longer. Finding the right balance of drugs is always tricky, but it seems the doctors are almost there...
So, I'm very optimistic...she may be awake and fully compos mentis tomorrow. I'm hoping so....and I saw those two magpies again today! One for sorrow, two for joy......
Fingers crossed....

Brilliant! That's excellent news Vic :-)
Good news again. She will need some time. When they are in a stress condition and sedated with drugs, they need that time. But she will be improving each minute.
Good to hear Vic! Seems things are looking up. Keep us posted.
