Well, I thought I'd update you on my next/current obsessive, compulsionary endeavor.
I have become addicted to ebay and have gone off the deepend in a big way. This must be the new GAS.
The thing looks and plays great. I got very lucky.
I would like to get good at wiring next. I know nothing about the electronics so I had to purchase a loaded pickguard the first time around. I now have several sets of unwired pups and wiring harnesses to put together. I just ordered some pick guards in HSS, HSH and HH for the next several bodies.
After I get all that sorted out I'm going to look in to learning to paint and stain raw bodies. For now I have to buy the bodies and necks already finished. I am not so sure I'll ever build from blanks, tho. Especially necks.
Currently, I've got some more parts coming and am going to build a TELE and several more strats. I hope you approve. :)

Cool project and nice pictures! I like that transparent blue for the bodies. I'll be waiting for the Tele.
Many congrats!
That looks sweet and it's got a maple neck/fretboard. Yummy!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- "WOW--What a Ride!"
Nice job man!

Awesome!
Do you have an LP on your list?
Thanks, everyone. I'm currently just waiting on body parts to arrive so I can get the tele off the ground. I purchased a spectacular spalted body that I'll have to stain first, so it'll be a few weeks before that guy is ready.
Hey, TwistedFingers, good to see you again. It's been a few years!! Hope all is well.
Awesome!
Do you have an LP on your list?
NO, I do NOT have an LP on the list, yet. However, Rahul, in all my ebay searches I was thinking about you because there are tons and tons of parts available to build left handed guitars. You could build one yourself if you could get all the parts shipped to you. I could even build you one but not sure about the shipping. My point is, don't give up on not finding a lefty to your liking. You have a world of choices available to you, my friend.
If you want more information, let me know and we can hook up and get you started.

Thanks for the invite Bish!
I actually already have an electric. That is a Fender Standard Strat. I haven't played it much though.
Awesome job, Bish! How did you drill for the bridge? My swamp ash strat is in limbo while I try to source a competent bridge driller for it. Been a little preoccupied with jazzing to sort that out.
Love the paint job/stain on your guitar tho, very tasty. 8)
Nice job Bish! 8)

Very cool man, great looking guitar!!
In Space, no one can hear me sing!
Nice work Bish! I like. 8)

Thanks, everyone. It's been a blast as well as frustrating.
I've finally hit some snags on the next production models and now find things don't alway fit right off. LOL.

For the bridge, I measured 25.5 inches from the nut and set the centerline of the saddles at that. With the bridge in place I marked the locations where the two posts should be drilled. I drilled them out and they were just undersized for the posts. I set the body on the carpeted floor and with an 18" length of 2X4 I "pressed" them in, one at a time. It really wasn't hard for the two point bridge, much to my surprise and relief. :)
I hope to have a few more pictures for you of other projects in a few days or so.
I got my first unfinished TELE spalted top body. I can see sanding is going to be the first order of business. sheeesh.

Awesome Bish!
Number 3 is the Tele?
Congrats. Beautiful axe and great job!
Wow, that's some good looking guitars you're building there.
Are you getting parts from any particular source, or is everything from random places on E-bay?
