Hey GN guys.
I feel like the forum traffic is a lot slower than it used to be. Is this accurate? Less posters?
My imagination?
Vacation. We always go through cycles. Often busy around the Holidays, as people either plan what to buy or ask questions about what they received. But it's typical to be slower in the summer (northern hemisphere). This may also explain the recent influx from Australia. 8)
Do you mean the number of posts? I think it depends on the day. I don't know if there are statistics.
And +1 on the Northern Hemisphere theory. I was writing while Laz did it.
Probably there are more posts after or during Christmas.
It's seemed quiet for a few weeks to me. Then again, I generally concentrate on a few forums - news, meet and greet, beginners Q&A, guitarists discussion, bass players discussion, sunday songwriters group, opinions and polls. Now and then, if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll check out the jams - and about once or twice a week I'll check out hear here.
I also seem to be spending a lot more time working on my own songs - every time I learn a new chord, or a new voicing, I go back back through my oldies and see if I can fit it in anywhere.....
But there definitely doesn't seem to be as much traffic - there aren't as many questions to answer these days. Even less, now that Derekslide's took his custom over to Big Road Blues!
:D :D :D

#4491....
Cycles & external factors & timing happens all the time. Been a couple of testy little threads that cause people to take mini-breaks too. Sometimes I wonder if we will ever run out of things to talk about, kind of like finishing surfing the entire internet and being done with it. Just philisophical ponderings of course. :)

He has been banned you cant find any of his posts.
I did a training class last week at work and then a conference Friday and Saturday, so I've had work on my mind practically 24/7. Friday I logged on and just had to skip quite a few threads cause I didn't have the energy to catch up.
.. Derekslide's took his custom over to Big Road Blues!...

My apologies; I thought you were referring to Derek's posts on Big Road Blues. :?
I bet there are some statistics. Maybe we could see it? At least it could give us something to talk about
...only thing I know how to do is to keep on keepin' on...

lol lars.
Maybe its just because I'm posting a LOT less than I used to, that I feel there is a general slow down in the forum.
I don't know. Something feels different about GN...I don't know.
