A Mott reunion? Ooooooh.....PLEASE!
For sale - one soul, slightly tarnished but plenty of life in it yet....if that's what it takes to get me a ticket, then so be it! Of all the bands I've ever seen live, Mott were the best - that was back in '73, when I was just 16.
Fingers crossed.....

Well, it's a shame he's gone - great guitarist - but he really didn't have much to do with Mott The Hoople. I know he did some production & arrangement work on the "All The Young Dudes," but his sole contribution as a fully-paid up member of the band was exactly one single...Saturday Gigs.
But from what I've read, it's the five original members of the band who're getting together.....the guys who recorded every album up to and including "Mott." By the way, if you look at the youtube video of "Golden Age of R'n'R" they've used on the site Rodders posted, that isn't Verden Allen - from the original band, on keyboards - it's Morgan Fisher, his replacement.
I wonder what happened to that amazing "Maltese Cross" guitar of Ian Hunter's?

I love Mott the Hoople :D They were one of the bands in the early 70's that made me want to play the guitar
