Dan some great points there, we have already talked about transitions and which songs we can go right into etc. Again we haven't recorded anything at practice and I do agree it would be helpful.
We actually did time our set list but we got cut off before the hour was actually up and we did have a closing song that for some reason when we had to switch the singer didn't want to do.
We didn't play Mustang Sally that night and it bores me to death but I think we will play it at some point so your idea of a sing along is good.
Now I'll never have gig reports like Tommy since I don't pay attention to alot of the stuff that makes for good reading, unless of course a couple hot blondes make it up on stage.. :D

It's good to have goals. 8)
Now Jailbreak is an easy song but the solo if you can call it that has the two guitars playing the same riff, sounds great if both guitars nail it and not so great if one is off. we plyed that I think 3 times as a group before the gig and it came out close to perfect...not sure if it's luck or what but that was really a pleasant suprise.
That's something I'm curious about. The boy and I do that one so there is just one guitar with the bass. This means no wa waa parts. It's too sparce if I do those parts. Please tell me what you think of our version as a three piece.
We are talking Thin Lizzy right?

Looks like a good set list cnev! Good luck with the gig, you gotta let us know how it turned out and get some video if you can.
I'm in interested in how you play the main riff in Lonely Boy? The one in the intro where the last note is what I guess a E dropped with a whammy to a D?
Do you use a whammy, pedal, bend the neck or play it in dropped D?
Saw live footage when The Black Keys played this song and I didn't think it sounded very good when Dan played it... I believe he used a floyd rose/Bigsby of some sort.
Good luck on the gig!

Niklas, yes it needs to be played with a whammyy pedal you really can't get down that low without it. I have an ME-70 that has an + and - octave I use the - octave and the pedal.
The FX is not quite as good as a good whammy pedal by itself but it's close

Ok, thank you. I thought it had to be something like that.

Like Hashpipe - Weezer!
By the way, do you guys have to pay anything for copyright since (I assume) you would be making money out of playing these songs?
Hope the gig went well! :)
Rahul....Whacha talkin bout Willis?

Usually venues pay the ASCAP fees but it was a private party. I won't tell this time.
