I know he wasn't involved with the music world , but i bet there are a few geeks here who passed through one of his fantasy worlds on the way to where we are now. He's indirectly responsible for me being online,
because of him i was heavily into gaming, then online gaming, then online communities.

Thank You Gary
He will be missed

I am a geek and I remember D&D well. 8)
I now play World of Warcraft and I and all the others who play mmorpg fantasy games owe Mr. Gygax a big thank you.
I am also a fan of the fantasy novels that were based on D&D.

All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.

I've got 2 shelves of books with his name on the cover.
And lots of memories of Saturday nights rolling dice in the world Gygax created

I was never a D&D guy but every RPG since has been based on the system he created. He was a very creative person and will be missed.

UCG - where were you when I was growing up???

The godfather of RPG... he'll be missed, but not forgotten.

I loved his "Gord" the rogue novels. They really turned me on to reading.
