Just saw on the Chicago Tribune website that Levon Helm, the drummer for the Band has died of cancer at the age of 71.

I just learned of his passing. didn't know he was that old.
his voice is so signature to so many songs I liked by the Band. Music from Big Pink was a favorite album.
