when I am not playing my guitar I pursue my one true ambition...that is being a visual artist.
I have just completed a cool commission. it is a large oil on canvas. it was requested by a family that lives in Fargo, South Dakota. that is in the upper midwest netherlands on the edge of the prairie. they wanted a work of mine for their house remodel. they liked an older style of my work. I call it my tone poem series. they are landscapes that are made up from places I have been. they exist between a conscious and unconscious state of mind.
72" x 54"
I think its always interesting to see what others are doing when they arent thinking guitar. I really like your artwork. Especially the first one.

Thats very cool 8) I have always loved the impressionists. Reminds me of Monet, I can see this hanging in the art museum in Chicago :D You are a true Renaissance man !
Awesome man!!
I've tried my hand at painting a few times, so I can appreciate what went into this. You are a very good artist!
Your landscape is much like an out of focus painting from Monet's failing eyes.
Maybe we should start calling you Claude "dogbite" Monet!!
Teamwork- A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.
Hope you don't mind but I set the 2nd painting up as background for my desktop. It looks awesome :D
BTW do you have a web site for your art work :?:
sure, hockey is an art. you just can't hang it on the wall. I would be curious to learn of all my formites passions.
thanks for the feedback. being an artist is my passion. my influences do come from the Impressionists, but more so from those just preceding them...Cezanne, Corbet, and Corot. huh, three C's. I just realized that. I also love the tonalist artists working in America in the late 19th century. Geroge Inness is one.
I like to blur my images. I call my skies, which are thick looking, heavy weather. even tho things look soft, there is texture in the air. I want the light to come from within the canvas rather than having light shine on things.
these tone poem paintings change with the viewers moods.
This one is called 'Days Like These'...I got the idea from a cool r and b song. "mama said there would be days like this".
I am on a web site for minnesota artists.
