yup, yup, that's some awesome work right there. I always flirted with art, but would get bored doing something like that, I lack the concentration to finish anything involving lots of work/hours. impressive stuff man, deffo checking ya webpage. and I might swap my james dean screensaver for that one, too.
I don't know much about art, but I know what I like - nice painting, Dogbite! And nice portrait, GS - even though I don't know the subject....
When I'm not playing guitar, I'm usually thinking about playing guitar - or thinking about music-related things...OK, I'm obsessed and I DON'T CARE, OK?
:D :D :D

Gawd, you ARE obsessed.............
When I'm not thinking about guitar, I'm thinking about what bass/drums/vocals/etc would best highlight my guitar playing. Gee, Vic, you're so self-obsessed.....
I haven't been in a while, but I did have a thing of wandering around the Tate Liveprool and the White Cube and similar in London. I'm no art critic/historian, but I know what I like, and that was tasty.
Anyone who does want a (partial) time out from guitar though..........you must see Nil By Mouth by the legend that is Gary Oldman. I say 'partial' since the score is done by a certain Mr. Clapton, but the film is heavy and raw and, while not the most pleasant of things, certainly makes it point. Even if said point is somewhat bludgeoned into one's head. Top notch movie though, as movies go.

ummmmmmmm.....and that's getting away from guitar is it?
Seen NBM, pretty good - I'm a big fan of Gary O, I don't think there's a better psycopath around apart from maybe Joe Pesci... but if you want a REALLY good Clapton soundtrack, try and get hold of the DVD of a series that was made around the mid 80's called "Edge Of Darkness" - it was a really good drama series about dark and dirty goings-on in a Nuclear power plant, and Clapton played some really edgy, atmospheric guitar on the S/T.......the music really suited the mood of the film IMO, EC really played some good stuff on that one.....I would recommend it to anyone, especially if they want to hear one of the masters of blues guitar play some really edgy bluesy guitar....

GungeSunset..you get the prize. Albert Pinkham Ryder is my absolute secret influence. his dark, thick, and murky canvases light my board. it is fantastic of you to recognize that. he is not a well known artist.
is our artwork a computer drawing? that is pretty nice. I need a brush in my hand instead of a mouse.
Scrybe: I am replacing James Dean?...wow, you are my new fav. the Tate Modern was designed by the same archetects that designed the art center where I work. the Tate is better. our building kind of sucks.
the modern art world is very interesting. boundaries of definition are broken all the time. what is coming out of asia now is amazing. I remain favoring the art from a hundred years ago.
thanks for taking the time to check out my art web site.
Very nice DB and GS! I'm with Vic, I don't know alot about art, but I do know what I like. Well said, Mr. Vic.
Jim
I'm writing a novel.
I wouldn't have said anything but the title is
The Minstrel's Son
so it's in keeping with the forum.
It's going to be along the same lines of
Lord of the Rings
a novel I read about 40 years ago
and was delighted to finally see a movie
that did it some justice.
Now if they would just make a movie of
Ender's Game
(which has nothing to do with guitaring) :?
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
whoa...a novel. that must be hard. I would not know where to start.
Scrybe: I am replacing James Dean?...wow, you are my new fav.
Ways to a man's heart number 29....replace James Dean with them. (number 28 being replace Bob Dylan with them....and so on), lol.
What? I always thought 'the way to a man's heart is through his stomach' was a reference to the effects of arsenic.

nope, the way to a man's heart is thru the eyes.
works every time.
Cool art, both of you.
+1 on Gary O. He makes FFC's Dracula.
-=tension & release=-
Fantastic work DB!
thanks mates

So I poke him in the eye???
No?
Care to elaborate? :P
Nice artwork, both of you.
I do some drawing and painting as well but I haven't in a while. Last thing I did was a portrait of my mom's dog. :|
All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.
