He's BREATHING, Mom, make him STOP!

As a participant, I hereby grant Margaret permission to mix my part however the heck she feels like it. In fact, just to throw another idea out there (and get people whining more ;) ) I wouldn't mind seeing all parts posted individually so anyone could mix them however they like! Margaret probably didn't want to hear THAT. heheh...

Actually, I'd thought about that same thing, TZ. But we will have thirty-two segments in total, and I don't think I want to fill up my soundclick site with all those individual segments.

How about this idea? After the jams have been posted, I would be willing to send individual parts to anyone who wants to make their own mix (with the permission of the players themselves, of course).

For example, if you pick out four segments that you think would go especially well together and want to make a mix of them, I could email those four parts to you individually.

Make sense?

Margaret

P.S. Hoping to be able to post the first completed jam (maybe even two of them) later today. Stay tuned... :D

That's a great idea.
We can choose our favorite 4 parts from all the jam teams and mix them ourselves.
I really like this idea.

Update time:

There has been some minor re-sorting of the teams to accommodate a few jam participants who were bound to implode if they didn't hear some jams posted sooner rather than later.

Everyone who has been moved will STILL have the SAME SEGMENT (1,2,3 or 4) as originally assigned; they will just be edited into a different team's final mix.

So, UrbanCowgirl is now on Team 3 (still Slot 3); Neztok is now on Team 6 (still Slot 2); Barnabus Rock is now on Team 7 (still Slot 3).

Further, TheTallCoolOne is now on Team 1, and Alouden and Tucker97325 are now on Team 5. (Their parts are in and mixed.)

The roster in the post at the top of this thread has been edited to reflect the changes.

I'm waiting on approval (or denial) from a couple of folks, and then we should have the first two jams ready to post! :D

Yep! I'm joining voices with Misanthrope to tell how great a job you're doing Margaret.
Managing all these bits and pieces and still making sense of it all is quite a task.

Kudos to you my dear! 8)

Aw shucks, you guys make me blush.

NOT!

Thanks so much. It's a labor of love, a project of my own device. I think I'm hooked on hosting. Can't play for much myself, but I sure like hosting.

I agree, great job Maggie.

Any progress on the rest of the teams yet?

Thanks, Tucker!

There are two other individual parts which have been submitted (each on different teams) and mixed.

Time to turn the eggs in the Incubator, I guess.

Over the weekend I'll go down the list and PM the players--make sure they haven't forgotten and see if anyone needs help figuring out how to record, etc.

Now I am a BEGINNNER !!! With out all this mumbo jumbo make it easy for me someone please !!!!!!

What strings !!

What frets !!

Don't give a choice , just tell me something like ,

G string 12th fret , B string 9 th fret blah blah ...

I am a scales virgin I have never played scales ...

If someone can simplfy it for me then I can listen to what others have done and get the feel for it ...

In desperate help of understanding what I have exactly to do ...
