This one I'm looking forward to! :D

Will probably be more or less the first metal "song" I've heard ever
Agree with Ivan (was it?) - the BT gave me a mild headache, and I wouldnt have a clue what to play - so this one is gonna be interesting

I hope you used your banjo, dog!

...only thing I know how to do is to keep on keepin' on...

Same for me
"Metal" music is not what I normaly listen to.
I had to ask my teenage daughter of examples of Metal guitar lead guitar solos.
She had a big problem finding a song with a solo that was possible to identify....

But the more you listen to this type of music, you will find the nuances.

I am very curious about what the jam members will do with this song.

I like metal and listen to it frequently, but other than the "chugga chugga" rhythm type stuff, I've not played it either. That's why I wanted the slower tempo section. I've got a few ideas for my part, but whether I have the skill to make it happen is yet to be seen. :) It's a challenge though which is a good thing.

I should have my part recorded no later than Sunday.

I just noodled around till I found something that went with it (hopefully). We did a metal jam last year also, I think It was with Hue, Kyle and Shift. Those guys knew lots more about metal than I do

I'm in New York-Heavy Metal state of mind

hah! Yes, combine my love for New York, with my love for Billy Joel, and your guitar prowess, it cannot fail.

Not sure how everyone else is fairing with this, but I'm still working on my part. Nothing I do sounds right. This is a large step in a direction I haven't much experience in, so please be patient with me. :)

Me too, man. I've tried a couple of different directions. I like parts of each, so I'm going to work on putting them all together. I'm also using Kristal for the first time. It's working really well, but there's still some learning involved.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I hate being the only one to hold something up. :)

Just not my normal thing, so it is much more difficult for me. Great experience though.

I haven't forgotten about you guys. Still working on my part when I can. Trying two different approaches to see which I like better (and which one works better). Oh, and learning how to do it while I go! :)
