I have never participated in a jam but would love an opportunity. How about I take the first slot? If it is a real dirt clod, you can discard it and give someone else a shot.

Hey guys, Taso just sent me his track. All I can say is I really need to practice, practice, and practice more  The bar is raised
haha, thanks buddy.
Don't let smokindog fool you guys though, my part is all speed, no emotion, but I thought it fit for the ending.
Can someone be kind and tell me the Key that is appropriate for improvising on this backtrack? I'm trying to get the hang of figuring out the key.
thx
I'm hearing a Bm?!?
For the most part, the Bm pentatonic scale will work (with careful usage of the 7th fret of B, F#) but I believe its actually in the key of E, and as such I used the Em pentatonic (as well as Bm). From what I remember anyways.

This is where I get confused. You say in the Key E; is this in a Key of E major or Key of E minor? From my understanding an Em key is quite different from an Emajor key. IE In the Key of Emajor you could use the Emajor scale and its relative C#minor. But an Em scale has its relative key as Gmajor.
Need some help in understanding this.
I may have been incorrect about it being in "E" not "Em" - honestly, I'm the wrong guy to be talking about this, my theory knowledge is limited. All I can tell you is that Em pent and Bm pent (aside from F#) work with the track. I hope someone else can step in and answer your questions though.
