Just been reading about a new game called "Guitar Hero". Instead of using a normal controller (although you can use one) you use a "Gibson SG-based guitar peripheral" it's along the lines of the dancing games you hear about - sort of a party game.

EDIT - On second thought - it might be a good way for a kid to practice rhythm. It's probably better than buying a Wal-mart Les Paul.

It does seem like kind of a neat game. I'd be curious to try it. Not curious enough to shell out $80 for it though. (Not when that $80 could be put toward a better use, like a new guitar, bigger amp, or effects pedals...) I do get a kick out of the fact that the controller is shaped like an SG. I think for the next version, they should do this:
