Ok, for those of you interested in baseball you probably know about the current issue between two NY baseball teams and the use of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" for their respective closers. That got me thinking about what I would use as my theme song if I were a closer.

I'm thinking that I'd use either:

Aces High by Iron Maiden

or

Master of Puppets by Metallica

If you were a closer, what song would use as you entered the game to close it out?

Hmmm, Baseball. This is what you guys in the US call "rounders", isn't it. LOL

Tina Turner's "Simply The Best" or Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better" methinks. Carly Simon gets the edge as far as I'm concerned because she's got style.

I'd grow an enormous handle-bar moustache and have "I Am The Walrus" as my theme.

And to get the batter to swing early, as I was winding up the pitch every fan would chant "Goo Goo G'JOOB!"

I would pick Last Exit by Pearl Jam, or Domination by Pantera. They're both lively, and would certainly get me going.

AC/DC's "Hell's Bells" seems to be popular amongst closers.

It's a shame you know, I'm a big baseball, rooting for the Jays my entire life, but when watching broadcasts of their games, it goes to commercials when their are pitcher changes. Therefore, I don't get the chance to see any closers come out to music or anything.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

I think AC/DC is the perfect closer's band:

Thunderstruck
If You Want Blood
Shot Down In Flames
Touch Too Much
Highway to Hell
T.N.T
Heetseeker

I could go on, but you get the idea!

Doesn't every closer use 'Wild Thing'? From the Major League movie for those who don't understand

For me they'd probably play "Walkin' Blues" as I am sent to the dugout after failing to register any putouts.

I'd have to go with 'Kashmir' by Zepplin. Now if only Harry Carrey were alive to shout "Holy Cow!" over that amazing guitar intro as I slowly sauntered to the mound, that would be the icing on the cake!

Someone said it, but I would stick with thunderstruck by ACDC. It's such a threatening song, and you can't not feel cool walking to the mound with that playing.
