Alright all you guitar slingers out there, Uncle Sam needs our help. And I think it is our patriotic duty to answer the call!
I don't know about others, but I am planning to spend the Economic Stimulus Tax Refund I receive. For once the government is trusting us citizens to spend the money where it is most needed. And I have decided that the musical instrument industry needs a boost. So I am gonna buy a guitar! I don't need it, got plenty already, but Uncle Sam is calling. :D
I have been looking at lots of gear, and think I might go with an Epiphone Casino.
This guitar will leave me exactly $0.01 of my refund. But I promise I will spend that too!

I've not decided. Probably bank it until I get back to work. Might save it for our 20th wedding anniversary trip next year. We get the double shot plus the kid thing. That'll be nice. Gotta like AGI instead of GI.

Well, I suppose you might look at it that way but since the government spends more than it takes in what is actually happening is that they are borrowing some more money to give it away to some people thereby putting the government further in debt. Not much different than the recent problems with those on a sub-prime mortgage refinancing to take out what little equity they have and ending up losing the house in a foreclosure.

Whether a person thinks it is a good idea or not, it is kinda nice to get back some of the taxes we pay every year. And if spending it (or saving it) helps an individual or the economy a little, I'm all for it.

Sorta already spent it and sort of on music. I'm gonna pay off my new laptop computer with it and I plan to use the laptop for lots of recording ...... soon as I get some free time. :roll:

Casinos are nice. Certainly one of the better guitars produced by Epi at any price. But also thank our Asian partners for making it possible to get such a nice guitar at that price. And this is not some sort of jab. I work with Asian designers and manufacturers in my biz. Their facilities are well appointed and automated, and supply to the world at good prices. BTW, today (really last night) was Labor Day in Asia! May 1st has been reappropriated everywhere except mainland China.

I have to buy a new fence with mine, so no luck. Good idea though, spending it on a guitar. Wish I had thought of that sooner.

I would have spent it on new gear, but alas, Unc Sam is bending me on some 2005 taxes I owe. What I get will pay what I owe.
