an HSS strat is what i would certainly recommend. Seeing as you play nu-metal you wont be able to get away with a single coil and a high gain amp as I do - single coils are only good for an early metal sound - It just wont have the beefiness needed.
Then of course being a strat it will handle all kinds of music better than most - it is without doubt the most versatile guitar type there is. For $1500 you could get an awesome strat geetaww
Try brands other than Fender too tho. Blade is one - they have WAAAAAAAY better build quality and better playability than Fender, and more versatility as they often have a frequency boost toggle-deely-thing. But it dont like the sound so much...a bit too high output not glassy enough
either save another 1500 qnd get a goldtop lp or any top 3000 one at that or buy the squire tele custom 1974 copy for 240
sounds better than the original fender or any modern remakes and plays like a dream!
And then you 1250 to spend on a massive stack so any aguitar you play will sound great! :lol:
