Totally awesome range of voice and totally awesome to look at.

Almost forgot about Melissa Etheridge! Wish I had half of her power! I did this one with the last band I played with and it was always a crowd pleaser!

And, one lesbian leads to another..... KD Lang! I absolutely LOVE her version of this song:

And its posts like that (Hey Eugene) that make me love GN....I think I've just found a new band to add to my 'favourites'. :D

Edit: the same can be said for Melissa Etheridge, of whom I was unaware of until 5 minutes ago. Glad that changed. Was she on the L word? What? I'm very liberal, that's all. Move along folks, nothing to see here. She looks familiar from somewhere, but I know I couldn't have heard her sing like that and not remember it.

Everything But the Girl -

Usually a bit more 'Danceable' with their studio cuts (and DJ re-mixes),
Here's a nice intimate acoustic favorite of mine:

Yep. She's a lesbian. She and her partner got David Crosby of Crosby, Stills & Nash to donate his sperm so that they could have a baby!

Ana Popovich The total package Great Singer, Fantastic Guitar Player (We're talking Stevie Ray good here) and not to hard on the eyes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh7UTnAmLvU&feature=related

Sarah Dash The first time I heard her perform was with the X-Pensive Wino's singing lead vocals on Time Is On My Side. It sent chills down my spine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUHap-__rJ8

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.

I agree about Bonnie Bramlett. She had a great voice. She sang like a man, if that makes any sense. I like Susan Tedeschi, who sounds like a modern day Bonnie Raitt. Aretha of course.

But my favorite female singer I'm into right now is Amy Winehouse. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only Amy Winehouse fan here. Before all the alcohol and drugs and general self destructive behavior, this girl had an absolutely amazing voice. If you can look past her image now and just listen hopefully you'll notice. I like her first album the best, but seriously both her albums are fantastic. Hopefully she shapes up.

singing a Dinah Washington song. (Amy's voice knocked me out on this one when I first heard it).
Can strum the guitar a little too
singing the Beatles song "All My Loving"

Question for StormyMonday (and anyone else who has an opinion) on Susan Tedeschi...any suggested songs in particular that you would recomended. I saw/heard her for the first time watching Clapton's Crossroads 2007 DVD and was really impressed. I'd like to check out her music a little more but don't know where to start.

And her version of "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright", ( http://www.FreeUploadShare.com/DOWNLOAD/d2b4a1506/Do n't Think Twice.mp3 ) which is on the same CD as "Angel From Montgomery". It's the "Live From Austin, TX" CD. Another really good CD is "Just Won't Burn", also contains "Angel" and "Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean".

Greg, you bring a horn and string section, and I'm in!
